How is snail mucin collected?

Snails are nocturnal creatures, so they are kept in a dark room at their natural and ideal temperature. Optimal mucin production occurs when snails are well-rested and comfortable in their habitat - not under stressful conditions. Our snails roam free, and then the mucin is collected. The snails are then left to rest and regain energy. Throughout the process, no external stress is applied to the snails, nor are they forced in the production of any mucin. That’s not necessary - making mucin is their normal!
No snail friends are harmed in the process!
